Chinese samurai is a term that is not historically accurate. The term "samurai" specifically refers to the military nobility of Japan, known for their strict code of honor and martial skills. In Chinese history, the closest equivalent to samurai would be the "wu shi" or martial scholars, who were skilled in martial arts and also well-educated in literature, philosophy, and the arts. These martial scholars were often employed as bodyguards, military advisors, and even government officials. Therefore, while China had its own class of martially skilled individuals, they were not called samurai. **
