The person's movements and gestures are used to control the elevator's direction and speed. On the other hand, target-guided elevators use a system of sensors and algorithms to detect and track a person's movements and guide the elevator to their desired destination without the need for the person to wear any additional equipment. Target-guided elevators are more autonomous and do not require the user to actively control the elevator's movements. **
