A good modern horror film is one that effectively builds tension and suspense, has well-developed characters, and offers a fresh and original storyline. It should also have a strong visual style and use innovative techniques to create scares and thrills. Additionally, a good modern horror film should have a deeper underlying theme or message that adds depth to the story and leaves a lasting impact on the audience. Examples of good modern horror films include "Get Out," "Hereditary," and "A Quiet Place." **

I would recommend "No Country for Old Men" directed by the Coen Brothers, which is a modern Western thriller with a gripping storyline and intense performances. Another great modern Western movie is "Hell or High Water" directed by David Mackenzie, which is a contemporary heist film set in the American West with strong character development and a compelling narrative. Lastly, "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" directed by Andrew Dominik is a visually stunning and introspective Western that offers a fresh take on the genre. **

I think "Inception" is the best modern sci-fi film. The film's mind-bending concept, stunning visual effects, and thought-provoking narrative set it apart from other modern sci-fi movies. Christopher Nolan's direction and the performances of the cast, especially Leonardo DiCaprio, make "Inception" a standout in the genre. The film's exploration of dreams and the subconscious, combined with its action-packed sequences, make it a truly unique and memorable sci-fi experience. **
